Beond Group, the parent company of the Zero Carbon Project, has been nominated for Green Business of the Year award at this year’s TELCA’s. The award aims to highlight companies that are raising awareness of green energy, and encourages businesses to buy renewable energy supply contracts.

Beond has developed 3 strategies to achieve this;

We have a unique online reverse auction system that all suppliers use to bid for our clients’ business. The system is able to deliver highly competitive ‘green’ supply contracts, often cheaper than traditional fossil fuel based contracts.

The second strategy is to offer renewable technology reviews for our clients. There are a lot of technologies out there that promise massive savings, and it is difficult for businesses to truly assess paybacks and the material impact on carbon and cost reduction. We have created a consultancy solution to take this pain away and offer a high-quality technology agnostic review. We carry out a full review of a client’s estate to identify any opportunity to save carbon, be greener and in most cases, reduce cost. We look for the obvious and the innovative, and everything in between.

The third strategy is our Zero Carbon Project (ZCP), which utilises the blockchain. ZCP is aimed at both domestic and business consumers and both will be able to buy zero carbon energy through our Zero Carbon market and be rewarded with Energis tokens. We are aiming to fulfill our vision of “zero carbon emissions from energy within 15 years”.

Additionally, one of our Consulting Directors, Ross Mair, has been nominated for industry expert at the TELCA’s, the second time in 3 years. Ross oversees our mid-market channel supporting client delivery services for over 300 businesses. Well done Ross, we are very proud of you.
